| As the title suggests, I propose here to
| |
| | another glory of the stars: for one star
|
| discuss briefly several important ideas
| |
| | differeth from another star in glory. So
|
| related to an event often billed the
| |
| | also is the resurrection of the dead. It
|
| "Rapture." For those unfamiliar with the
| |
| | is sown in corruption; it is raised in
|
| term, this popular doctrine invites the
| |
| | incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it
|
| idea that believers in Jesus will
| |
| | is raised in glory: it is sown in
|
| silently and swiftly -- in an instant --
| |
| | weakness; it is raised in power: It is
|
| translate (change) into heavenly glory.
| |
| | sown a natural body; it is raised a
|
| The Lord Jesus, descending from heaven to
| |
| | spiritual body. .... And as we have borne
|
| remove them from the earth, will thereby
| |
| | the image of the earthy, we shall also
|
| usher in a seven-year tribulation that
| |
| | bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I
|
| will engulf the planet in war, famine,
| |
| | say, brethren, that flesh and blood
|
| and plagues -- dare I say it -- of
| |
| | cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
|
| biblical proportions. Supposedly, carting
| |
| | neither doth corruption inherit
|
| off the saints in this fashion will make
| |
| | incorruption. Behold, I shew you a
|
| for missing pilots, trains and planes
| |
| | mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
|
| plunging and crashing, panic in the
| |
| | shall all be changed, In a moment, in the
|
| streets, and all manner of cancelled
| |
| | twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
|
| basketball games. Tens of millions,
| |
| | for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
|
| pulpiteers warn us, will just vanish in
| |
| | shall be raised incorruptible, and we
|
| mid-stride of the day or night -- for the
| |
| | shall be changed. For this corruptible
|
| hour of this putative event remains
| |
| | must put on incorruption, and this mortal
|
| unknown -- with no prior notice.
| |
| | must put on immortality. So when this
|
| Presumably, landlords with Christian
| |
| | corruptible shall have put on
|
| tenants will simply pocket the
| |
| | incorruption, and this mortal shall have
|
| deposit. Now, I have taken up this topic
| |
| | put on immortality, then shall be brought
|
| for three reasons. First, this teaching
| |
| | to pass the saying that is written, Death
|
| enjoys widespread popularity among,
| |
| | is swallowed up in victory.Likewise, 1
|
| perhaps, hundreds of millions of
| |
| | Thessalonians (4:14-18) discusses also
|
| Christians, and has formed the topic of
| |
| | the resurrection of Jesus and then
|
| bestsellers (i.e. Hal Lindsey's Late
| |
| | mentions this same resurrection-rapture
|
| Great Planet Earth), of movies, and an
| |
| | trumpet in these words:For if we believe
|
| untold number of questionable sermons.
| |
| | that Jesus died and rose again, even so
|
| The second reason I have chosen it stems
| |
| | them also which sleep in Jesus will God
|
| from the fact that the Bible -- just
| |
| | bring with him. For this we say unto you
|
| about as clearly as anyone might do so --
| |
| | by the word of the Lord, that we which
|
| falsifies this doctrine. Third, I have
| |
| | are alive and remain unto the coming of
|
| seen firsthand how it can ruin the lives
| |
| | the Lord shall not prevent [precede] them
|
| of people who, at any moment, expect all
| |
| | which are asleep. For the Lord himself
|
| their work and livelihood to come to
| |
| | shall descend from heaven with a shout,
|
| nothing. It completely stifles the
| |
| | with the voice of the archangel, and with
|
| impetus -- and the biblical commandment
| |
| | the trump of God: and the dead in Christ
|
| -- for men and women to "be frutiful and
| |
| | shall rise first: Then we which are alive
|
| multiply, fill the earth and subdue it,"
| |
| | and remain shall be caught up together
|
| which commandment God has never
| |
| | with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord
|
| revoked.The "cosmic slingshot" theory
| |
| | in the air: and so shall we ever be with
|
| requires Christians to forego the idea
| |
| | the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another
|
| that we must stay and build to advance
| |
| | with these words.Note that this
|
| the kingdom of Christ on earth. It
| |
| | Thessalonian passage teaches of the
|
| fosters a do-nothingism that refuses to
| |
| | resurrection of Jesus (v. 14) as the
|
| "polish brass on a sinking ship" -- as
| |
| | basis for the resurrection of "them also
|
| many of its proponents have said. This
| |
| | which sleep in Jesus." This primarily
|
| effectively calls the whole earth "evil,"
| |
| | aims at the resurrection of the dead
|
| when the Scripture calls it "good." But
| |
| | ("The dead in Christ shall rise first")
|
| no one -- okay, very few -- could
| |
| | as the comfort and hope of the Christian
|
| construe as a good thing the boarding of
| |
| | -- note the same trumpet as mentioned in
|
| a ship destined to sink straight to the
| |
| | 1 Cor. 15 -- and only the translation
|
| bottom with passengers aboard it. By this
| |
| | (i.e. rapture) of those who remain alive
|
| aquatic metaphor, Rapture fans actually
| |
| | until his coming at the resurrection of
|
| propose to excuse themselves for
| |
| | the dead, when Christ shall raise those
|
| abandoning their post, for shunning the
| |
| | who died in the Lord. When does this
|
| dominion mandate and Great Commission,
| |
| | happen? 1 Cor. 15 says only when Christ
|
| and for rejecting the commandment of God
| |
| | has subdued all his enemies (here Paul
|
| to glorify Him by working to build a
| |
| | follows Psalm 110) under his feet, will
|
| Christian, cultural legacy as "profitable
| |
| | he leave heaven's throne from which he
|
| servants."But enough commentary for now,
| |
| | reigns. It says: "For he must reign [from
|
| and onto the proof against this doctrine
| |
| | heaven], till he hath put all enemies
|
| from the Bible itself. Keep in mind, we
| |
| | under his feet. The last enemy that shall
|
| have put the five reasons offered against
| |
| | be destroyed is death." This means Jesus
|
| the imminent rapture doctrine in the form
| |
| | will not return, and the
|
| of five handy questions you can have at
| |
| | rapture-resurrection trumpet will not
|
| the ready for your pastor or other people
| |
| | sound, until the end of the millenium. We
|
| espousing the view.First, we should note
| |
| | know this, because at the end of the
|
| that the Bible teaches that the Great
| |
| | millenium, Christ still has enemies he
|
| Commission will succeed, and that the
| |
| | has yet to subdue, who plot mischief on
|
| nations will convert to saving faith in
| |
| | the earth:Revelation 20: 7-9 says this
|
| Jesus Christ. This makes any idea of any
| |
| | plainly:And when the thousand years are
|
| premillenial "rapture" -- a wanton escape
| |
| | expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his
|
| pod -- unnecessary, unbiblical and
| |
| | prison, And shall go out to deceive the
|
| unfaithful.Psalm 22:27-31 reads [just
| |
| | nations which are in the four quarters of
|
| following a prominent passage of the
| |
| | the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them
|
| Psalms recounting the suffering of
| |
| | together to battle: the number of whom is
|
| Messiah]: All the ends of the world shall
| |
| | as the sand of the sea. And they went up
|
| remember and turn unto the LORD: and all
| |
| | on the breadth of the earth, and
|
| the kindreds of the nations shall worship
| |
| | compassed the camp of the saints about,
|
| before thee. For the kingdom is the
| |
| | and the beloved city: and fire came down
|
| LORD's: and he is the governor among the
| |
| | from God out of heaven, and devoured
|
| nations. All they that be fat upon earth
| |
| | them. The last enemy to be destroyed is
|
| shall eat and worship: all they that go
| |
| | death, when death is swallowed up in
|
| down to the dust shall bow before him:
| |
| | victory -- at the post-millenial
|
| and none can keep alive his own soul. A
| |
| | resurrection. Thus, no one living today
|
| seed shall serve him; it shall be
| |
| | has any right to expect God to deliver
|
| accounted to the Lord for a generation.
| |
| | them from anything by removing him or her
|
| They shall come, and shall declare his
| |
| | from the earth. God has never promised
|
| righteousness unto a people that shall be
| |
| | this. The premillenial secret rapture
|
| born, that he hath done this.Matthew
| |
| | doctrine amounts to only so much
|
| 16:18 says: "And I say also unto thee,
| |
| | theological spam from the spam
|
| That thou art Peter, and upon this rock
| |
| | factory.Moreover, Psalm 110 says that the
|
| [which foundational rock turns out to be
| |
| | Messiah will remain seated [on a throne]
|
| all the apostles and prophets, and not
| |
| | at God's right hand until ALL Christ's
|
| merely Peter, see Eph. 2:20], I will
| |
| | enemies are made his footstool: "The LORD
|
| build my church; and the gates of hell
| |
| | said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right
|
| shall not prevail against it."1 Chron.
| |
| | hand, until I make thine enemies thy
|
| 29:11 teaches that God always has the
| |
| | footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of
|
| victory in these words:Thine, O LORD is
| |
| | thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in
|
| the greatness, and the power, and the
| |
| | the midst of thine enemies."Here, God
|
| glory, and the victory, and the majesty:
| |
| | promises that He will subdue Christ's
|
| for all that is in the heaven and in the
| |
| | enemies -- all of them -- and that Christ
|
| earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O
| |
| | will "sit at His right hand" until God
|
| LORD, and thou art exalted as head above
| |
| | subdues them all, the last of which names
|
| all.Daniel 4:35 declares: 'All the
| |
| | death. This means that Christ will not
|
| peoples of the earth are regarded as
| |
| | leave his throne -- not for a rapture,
|
| nothing. He [The Lord] does as he pleases
| |
| | not for some alleged "rescue" from the
|
| with the powers of heaven and the peoples
| |
| | Great Commission, and not for any other
|
| of the earth. No one can hold back his
| |
| | reason -- until the end of the
|
| hand or say to him: "What have you
| |
| | millenium.Hebrews 10 (vv. 11-13) says it
|
| done?"'Matthew 28:18-20 reads:And Jesus
| |
| | even more plainly [alluding to Psalm
|
| came and spake unto them, saying, All
| |
| | 110], "And every priest standeth daily
|
| power is given unto me in heaven and in
| |
| | ministering and offering oftentimes the
|
| earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all
| |
| | same sacrifices, which can never take
|
| nations, baptizing them in the name of
| |
| | away sins: But this man [Jesus], after he
|
| the Father, and of the Son, and of the
| |
| | had offered one sacrifice for sins for
|
| Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all
| |
| | ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
|
| things whatsoever I have commanded you:
| |
| | From henceforth expecting [i.e. waiting]
|
| and, lo, I am with you always, even unto
| |
| | till his enemies be made his
|
| the end of the world. Amen.Question 1. So
| |
| | footstool."Christ sits on the throne
|
| our first question for pastors teaching
| |
| | waiting for God to subdue all His
|
| the Rapture theology is this: Why do you
| |
| | enemies. Until that happens, he will not
|
| want the saints to flee from their
| |
| | leave His throne. Since none of us will
|
| responsibility of pursuing the great
| |
| | live until the end of the millenium, we
|
| commission and dominion mandate -- which
| |
| | have no right to expect that any of us
|
| includes the building of hospitals,
| |
| | will ever see anyone raptured - or "left
|
| schools and businesses that last for
| |
| | behind" for that matter. The only people
|
| generations -- when the Bible says we
| |
| | I can see getting left behind are those
|
| will win? How is teaching them, "We all
| |
| | who continue in false doctrine, contrary
|
| might go away tomorrow" consistent with
| |
| | to the clear teachings of the holy
|
| the idea of building for generations?
| |
| | Scripture.Question 4. How can you say
|
| Fact: those who believe in the secret
| |
| | Christ will descend in the Rapture --
|
| rapture myth do not build beautiful
| |
| | thereby leaving his throne -- before
|
| cathedrals; they do not build anything to
| |
| | Scripture says He will? Were the Psalmist
|
| last over generations. They often meet in
| |
| | and Paul simply mistaken, or are the
|
| "motel 6" churches, buildings designed
| |
| | Premillenial Rapture proponents in
|
| for little more than an overnight
| |
| | error? Finally, all the parables of the
|
| stay.Second, the Bible presents the Word
| |
| | Bible relevant to the topic of how
|
| of the Lord as a powerful and effective
| |
| | history will proceed until the Lord
|
| tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit. The
| |
| | returns indicate that history will
|
| Scripture says that God's word cannot
| |
| | progress in a continuous (if bumpy)
|
| fail its intended purpose, and that it
| |
| | fashion, with no major interruptions (or
|
| remains an instrument by which God will
| |
| | "discontinuous events") like the
|
| convert the nations.Isaiah 55:11 reads:
| |
| | rapture.Matthew 13:24-30 recounts the
|
| "So shall my word be that goeth forth out
| |
| | parable of the wheat and the tares, which
|
| of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
| |
| | Jesus afterward explained to his
|
| void, but it shall accomplish that which
| |
| | disciples in private. Here Matthew
|
| I please, and it shall prosper in the
| |
| | reads,"Another parable put he forth unto
|
| thing whereto I sent it."Psalm 19:7 tells
| |
| | them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is
|
| that "The law of the Lord is perfect,
| |
| | likened unto a man which sowed good seed
|
| converting the soul ..." This indicates
| |
| | in his field: But while men slept, his
|
| the purpose for which God has sent it
| |
| | enemy came and sowed tares among the
|
| (the "thing whereto" God sent it in the
| |
| | wheat, and went his way. But when the
|
| verse above) -- the conversion of the
| |
| | blade was sprung up, and brought forth
|
| nations to saving faith in Christ.Heb.
| |
| | fruit, then appeared the tares also. So
|
| 4:12 tells us that "The word of God is
| |
| | the servants of the householder came and
|
| living and powerful, sharper than any
| |
| | said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow
|
| two-edged sword..."Question 2. If the
| |
| | good seed in thy field? from whence then
|
| word of the Lord works so powerfully as
| |
| | hath it tares? He said unto them, An
|
| to accomplish all for which God sends it,
| |
| | enemy hath done this. The servants said
|
| and if God has sent it to convert souls
| |
| | unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and
|
| -- or the nations of the world (according
| |
| | gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest
|
| to Matthew 28:18-20) -- then how could it
| |
| | while ye gather up the tares, ye root up
|
| fail to do so?" And if it succeeds, what
| |
| | also the wheat with them. Let both grow
|
| need have we of any "Rapture"? Shouldn't
| |
| | together until the harvest: and in the
|
| we rather spend our time building up and
| |
| | time of harvest I will say to the
|
| improving our communities for the
| |
| | reapers, Gather ye together first the
|
| generations to come, and not squander our
| |
| | tares, and bind them in bundles to burn
|
| time staring up into the sky hoping for a
| |
| | them: but gather the wheat into my
|
| quick exit?Third, the Bible holds forth
| |
| | barn.Matthew 13:36-43 then explains this
|
| The Lord Christ as One who cannot fail.
| |
| | parable in these words:Then Jesus sent
|
| It is His nature to secure victory, and
| |
| | the multitude away, and went into the
|
| overcome all obstacles to his goals
| |
| | house: and his disciples came unto him,
|
| because as the Sovereign Lord, He both
| |
| | saying, Declare unto us the parable of
|
| made and controls all things. Yet the
| |
| | the tares of the field. He answered and
|
| rapture needs the great commission --
| |
| | said unto them, He that soweth the good
|
| given by Christ -- to fail. Otherwise,
| |
| | seed is the Son of man; The field is the
|
| why would Jesus have to return personally
| |
| | world; the good seed are the children of
|
| to intervene and rescue the saints? If
| |
| | the kingdom; but the tares are the
|
| you will recall, the early Christian
| |
| | children of the wicked one; The enemy
|
| church overtook the Roman Empire just
| |
| | that sowed them is the devil; the harvest
|
| BECAUSE God refused to rescue his martyrs
| |
| | is the end of the world; and the reapers
|
| from death. If He had "Raptured" them to
| |
| | are the angels. As therefore the tares
|
| keep them from harm's way in a world gone
| |
| | are gathered and burned in the fire; so
|
| mad, how would the gospel then have
| |
| | shall it be in the end of this world. The
|
| prevailed? Any theory that needs Jesus to
| |
| | Son of man shall send forth his angels,
|
| fail in his plans for humanity has doomed
| |
| | and they shall gather out of his kingdom
|
| itself to failure from the beginning. The
| |
| | all things that offend, and them which do
|
| premillenial Rapture adherent has Christ
| |
| | iniquity; And shall cast them into a
|
| returning bodily to keep his Church from
| |
| | furnace of fire: there shall be wailing
|
| extinction, as though the Lord's original
| |
| | and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the
|
| plan -- convert the nations by the gospel
| |
| | righteous shine forth as the sun in the
|
| -- will have had failed altogether. And
| |
| | kingdom of their Father ....This last
|
| yet God does not have a "plan B." He
| |
| | line clearly corresponds to revelation
|
| doesn't need one.Proverbs 21: 30, "There
| |
| | chapter 20 above -- the final
|
| is no wisdom nor understanding nor
| |
| | resurrection: unto damnation on the one
|
| counsel [which can prosper] against the
| |
| | hand, or else glory on the other. The
|
| LORD."Daniel 4:35 proclaims: All the
| |
| | angels in this parable even ask the Lord
|
| peoples of the earth are regarded as
| |
| | if he wants to separate out the good from
|
| nothing. He [The Lord] does as he pleases
| |
| | the bad -- as the rapture would
|
| with the powers of heaven and the peoples
| |
| | accomplish -- and the Lord flatly
|
| of the earth. No one can hold back his
| |
| | declines, suggesting that human history
|
| hand or say to him: "What have you
| |
| | will continue its bumpy ride without any
|
| done?"'Question #3. If God authored the
| |
| | major discontinuous events, such as the
|
| Great Commission, how can it fail to
| |
| | Rapture. The separation transpires only
|
| convert the nations -- God's stated goal
| |
| | at the very end.Question 5. How can you
|
| in Matthew 28:18-20? Can God fail? This
| |
| | say that history will encounter a global
|
| question lies at the heart of the matter.
| |
| | sifting event -- which separates the
|
| Don't be surprised if your pastor
| |
| | wheat from the chaff IN HISTORY -- which
|
| launches into all manner of metaphor when
| |
| | God Himself has stated He does not
|
| you ask this question.Fourth, the Bible
| |
| | want?We would do far better in the end to
|
| plainly tells its readers that the very
| |
| | drop any foolish notions of some cosmic
|
| noisy and quite public "rapture" occurs
| |
| | "Great Coffee Break" the Bible never
|
| at the parousia, the bodily return of
| |
| | promised -- and which God does not want
|
| Christ to earth from heaven, which itself
| |
| | -- and get on with the business of
|
| will occur at the END, not the beginning,
| |
| | preaching the historically orthodox
|
| of the millenium. Paul makes this plain.1
| |
| | gospel, which calls Christians to build
|
| Corinthians 15 (vv. 22-54) says that:For
| |
| | up their communities - to leave them
|
| as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
| |
| | better than we found them - for the glory
|
| shall all be made alive. But every man in
| |
| | of God, and for the benefit of men and
|
| his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
| |
| | women everywhere, both now and in the
|
| afterward they that are Christ's at his
| |
| | generations to come. For, Paul said, "We
|
| coming. Then cometh the end, when he
| |
| | are His workmanship, created in Christ
|
| shall have delivered up the kingdom to
| |
| | Jesus to do good works ...."And good
|
| God, even the Father; when he shall have
| |
| | works begin with shunning bad doctrine,
|
| put down all rule and all authority and
| |
| | saying only what God has said. For it is
|
| power. For he [Christ] must reign [from
| |
| | written, "Do not add to the words of the
|
| heaven], till he [God] hath put all
| |
| | Lord, lest he reprove thee and show thee
|
| enemies under his feet. The last enemy
